If you ever wondered to yourself “how much money is in dubstep?” boy have we got some stats for YOU!

American business magazine Forbes have released their annual “rich list” and “most powerful” list, with Sonny Moore – known to aficianados of brostep and all things wub-y, drop-y and bass-y – coming in at #85 on the list of world’s richest celebrities, and #92 on the world’s most powerful celebrities. In the words of that cup-stacking girl from ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,’ “OH MY GOD!”

Skrillex apparently pulled in a mind-boggling $15million last year. Compare that to Harry Potter JK Rowling ($17m), tennis star Serena Williams ($13m), actress Meryl Streep ($12m) and Angelina Jolie ($20m), and you begin to get an idea of what this actually means in the big scheme of things… of course, Kim and Khloe Kardashian made a cool $29m combined for doing basically nothing except being Kim and Khloe Kardashian, so maybe this list isn’t worth the paper (or web space) it’s written on.

Skrill also made #35 in web power, and #33 in social media.

Other (less surprising) musical big players on the list included Justin Bieber ($55m, #4 TV rank, #3 social media), Rihanna ($53m, #2 social rank), Lady Gaga ($52m, #1 social rank, #1 press rank), Beyonce ($40m), Dr Dre ($110m) and Jay-Z ($38m).

And Britney Spears made $58million last year. If anyone can tell us how or why, you win the internet.
