“But at the same time,” Nick interjects with a grin, “we also wanted to set a challenge for our competitor.”
“Nick had just been to Japan and he’d brought this bear suit back with him so we thought ‘Oh perfect, we’ll give Alex Goddard a bear suit,’ and so the next film he had to do it as the Man Bear.” adds Seaton.
And so the story of the Man Bear was conceived, Nick introducing himself as a Man Bear hunter who seeks his ultimate prize, trekking into the wilderness where the beast gets the better of him. The ensuing story turns full circle as the teams traverse genres and musical interludes until the hunter eventually becomes a Man Bear himself!
The teams made use of a Samsung U10 video camera, which the guys found light weight, simple to use and took good still shots as well as video. A handy device for video bloggers who need a simple camera to quickly and easily post content onto the web, the two winners scored themselves a camera each for their efforts.
For Seaton and Nick the future certainly looks bright as they boys are currently putting together their own TV pilot to pitch to national broadcasters.
