After the success that has been Black Swan, Laura and Kate Mulleavy from Rodarte have said they loved the whole experience. The sisters were introduced to Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky by long time fan Natalie Portman, who plays the lead role in the movie. The Rodarte clan designed over 40 costumes, and all the knitwear for the film, which is follows Nina (Portman), a ballerina in a New York ballet company. Things get a bit twisted and dark. The Mulleavy sisters have said they are now hooked on costume design – “What’s interesting is that, as designers, our job is something so seasonal,” Laura said. “You finish a show and you’re already thinking about your next one. In film, your make pieces of clothing that go down in history. It’s been very exciting for us.”

Even though we are freaked out by the trailer, it’s sure to be a stunningly beautiful film.
