Fave Aussie model, Mrs Orlando Bloom, features in December’s issue of W. Miranda Kerr, who is seven months pregnant, bared her belly for photographer Patrick Demarchelier in the magazine’s family issue. “For me, family is life. The decision to start one wasn’t complex at all.” Kerr tells W. It seems she is in no hurry to get back to modeling either post pregnancy, even though her stocks are now higher than ever following her Italian Vogue cover and campaigns for Jil Sander and Prada this season, walking the Balenciaga show with a baby bump and now W. “My career has been wonderful, but it’s not my life. I don’t feel pressure to get back to work.” Instead, she’s dreaming of “a hammock, a vegetable patch, and a solar-powered house. And I hope to eventually get there.” Kerr follows in the footsteps of numerous celebrities to have nude portraits published while pregnant, notably Demi Moore in Vanity Fair by Annie Leibovitz in 1991, Britney Spears in Harpers Bazaar in 2006 and Claudia Schiffer by Karl Lagerfeld earlier this year. If only we all could look that good!
