PORTMANS ‘COOL BRITANIA’

Third time’s a charm, as they say. Abbey Lee Kershaw has just completed her third campaign with local High St brand, Portmans. After sojourns through LA and New York this time the team really did hit the High St, heading to wintery London to shoot AW2012. The collection, aptly titled ‘Cool Britania’, is a mix of all the things we love and expect from Portmans – pretty party frocks, cute tailored pieces and lace in abundance. Kershaw, along with local male model Aidin Taylor, took to all the famous landmarks and iconic British staples – think Buckingham Palace, a red telephone box, black cabs and white townhouses. The only thing missing was a double decker bus!

Portmans’ marketing manager Natalie Flegg said of the choice to shoot in London, “our winter collection is the pure embodiment of cool London style, from mod influences to uptown glamour and the opulence of British royalty. We really wanted to dial up the fashion credibility this season and show a whole new side to the Portmans girl, and what better place to do this than in one of the world’s top fashion cities.” The AW2012 Portmans collection will be dropping in stores over the next few weeks.
