Groupie and Olympus teamed up to promote the launch of the Olympus PEN camera, a brand new digital SLR camera from Olympus, blending digital SLR technology with two interchangeable lenses, the convenience of a portable digital camera, and retaining elements of the retro design of the original PEN camera.
And what better way to collaborate than showcasing the amazing photographs that the camera takes. To do this, we ran a competition to find Groupie’s gig photographer, offering tickets and photography pit passes to six high-profile gigs, with the best of the photography to be published in Groupie magazine.
The competition winner, Jade Cantwell, delivered over and above on the challenge, taking some brilliant shots of bands including the Cassette Kids, Art vs Science, Children Collide, Yves Klein Blue and Wolfmother.
