LILY ALLEN CHANGES HER NAME, 3RD ALBUM

Lily Allen has announced she’s changing her professional name to her married one, Lily Rose Cooper.

Lily Rose Cooper (feels really weird calling her that, but I guess at least it’s not Snoop Lion) married her builder husband Sam Cooper in June last year. They have since had a baby girl, Ethel Mary, and announced recently that there’s another child on the way!

The Artist Formally Known As Lily Allen also recently announced that she’s in the studio working on new material with producer Greg Kurstin. The ‘Smile’ singer responded to a question on her twitter account confirming a rumour she was recording new material by saying, “You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the studio with Greg Kurstin. No big deal really, I’m just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing if anything sticks.” No firm dates have been put in place for the album’s release.

Her legions of fans have been waiting for new matierlal from the singer ever since 2009′s It’s Not Me, It’s You. Then there was her statement late in 2009 that she would be bowing out of music altogether… So when the rumour mill started firing earlier this year that she was contemplating a return to music, well, we all got just a little bit excited. But for now, we’ll have to wait.

From her debut ‘Alright, Still’ to her sophomore effort, we’ve seen two very different versions of Lily. She went from mouthy, colourful urban lass to a sleeker, cheekier and more mature Lily, so who knows what this third album might unearth? Rest assured it’ll be as honest, brazen and loveable as the lady herself, whatever name it’s released under.
