We love Lanvin. We love perfume. We also love weddings. But we’re struggling with this new Lanvin fragrance.

Named ‘MARRY ME!’ with an excitable exclamation mark, this new perfume is described as, “intuitive and shamelessly direct.” Thank goodness they don’t try to sell it as subtle. As if men aren’t confused enough, the house of Lanvin is actually suggesting that women want to be proposed to with a bottle of perfume. For the record, we don’t (nor do we want to choke on a ring whilst eating dessert.) Granted we haven’t smelt the stuff, a floral composition of bitter Tunisian orange, jasmine, peach, magnolia and hot amber but the idea alone stinks. However, we do like the pink bow which is pretty like Lanvin’s catwalk fashion.
