Lana Del Rey has somehow taken over the internet without doing much at all. The New York native, born Lizzie Grant, has had blogs and social networks all a-Twitter (pun intended) since the release of her hazy single ‘Video Games,’ and has quickly been picked up by more mainstream media as well.
Lana Del Rey will release ‘Born To Die’ (her second album, after a forgettable debut released under her birthname) on February 3rd; check out the album cover art above. No word yet on a tracklisting, but Del Rey has been performing new tracks in concert recently, and has released a teaser video for the album’s title track, which you can see below. On the proper video for ‘Born To Die,’ Del Rey reportedly hired a tiger…
“Tigers don’t come cheap. It’s a controversial video,” she said in an interview with The Sun.
“You’ll have to wait to see it but I got a generous budget… it was a special experience.”
She has also promised a short Aussie tour in March, so keep an eye out. You can check out our interview with Lana herself right here!
