KATE SYLVESTER

Coined ‘This Charming Man’, the Kate Sylvester show was more feminine than it let on. Along with androgynous looks including a grey city short suit, cargo trousers drawn at the waist, loafers worn with garter ankle socks and giant cravats, models flounced by in girly ruffled skirts and a particularly cute printed Chanel-esque dress with gold buttoned pockets at the chest. It was as if the tomboys were off to a picnic; one print mimicked the checks of tea-towels and collars were pinned with flower corsages and vintage fob watches slung from belts. Some tan leather looks provided a little edge as well as the styling of black underwear beneath 60s white crochet dresses. Ending with a bride and (girl) groom, it certainly charmed.
