October will see the 14th and final collection for Kate Moss for Topshop. After spending four years designing a successful line for the brand, it is thought the supermodel is leaving on amicable terms to pursue her other work opportunities.
Topshop owner, Sir Philip Green said, ”Kate has done 14 collections with us. It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more.”
As well as her modelling commitments, Kate Moss has her own fragrance line and also designs handbags for Longchamp. She recently scored her 30th British Vogue cover. The announcement added that she may design one-off capsule collections for the store in the future.
It is rumoured Chloe Green, Sir Philip Green’s 19-year-old daughter, will begin designing her own line for the high-street store. Chloe has been working in the Topshop offices to get experience in the family business and is often seen on the front row of catwalk shows. We can’t imagine there’s any rift between Chloe and Kate as they always appear the best of fashion friends; the model is often pictured with the Green family, even spending a holiday in Ibiza with them.
Perhaps Kate will pursue the jam-making business we reported on?
