It’s been seven years since Karl Lagerfeld’s sellout collection for H&M, but now, the famed Chanel designer is set to launch his next big collaborative collection, this time with megastore Macy’s.

The collection will arrive online and in stores towards the end of next month, with Vogue‘s August issue showcasing more of the collection. The dress featured in the above image was described by Lagerfeld as “a coup d’oeil to the dresses I designed for Chloe and the girlish, more romantic mood of the seventies.”

On the collaboration, Lagerfeld said: “These partnerships are a working holiday from my normal discipline, and I like to think differently.”

Lagerfeld likes to think outside of the box, having worked with brands like Coca Cola and Volkswagen in recent years.
