Karl Lagerfeld has cancelled his signature collection Lagerfeld show that was scheduled for Paris Fashion Week on October 3rd. Instead, the line will be re-branded as a ready-to-wear collection that will be sold online, dubbed a “masstige”. New fashion word alert! This new collection is based on “mass elitism” and will be ready in time for the AW 2011 season. We presume it will be a line of more commercial pieces based on key Lagerfeld looks.

The Chanel show will still take place on October 5th, as will the designer still be presenting his debut clothing collection for Hogan on October 2nd. Lagerfeld has created ready-to-wear and accessories for the Italian label as well as reinterpreting a selection of signature Hogan pieces.

Good to see he’s still busy then as we reported yesterday.
