Julia Nobis is everywhere in the world of high fashion. Whether it be walking every major runway or starring in look books a plenty and magazine editorials, she is everyone’s favourite nymph-like beauty. We first interviewed Julia for pages Scout back in 2010 and she hasn’t looked back since. Her transformation from tomboy into elegant woman has been evident too, even if she still favours pants over frocks. Read our first conversation with her below.

Where are you from?
“Bondi, Sydney.”

What do you do for fun in Sydney?
“Besides going out to various chocolate cafes, generally nothing beats sitting down with a few mates and having TV marathons. Whether it be Friends, Dragonball Z, Skins or Sex and the City, it’s always plenty of fun!”

Likes & dislikes?
“Likes: Music (playing and listening), biology and medicine, martial arts. Dislikes: That I don’t to enough martial arts anymore, teenage stereotypes, scary movies.”

How and when did you begin modeling?
“I was scouted in Bondi Junction interchange merely going about my daily routine when I was approached. When I was first tapped on the shoulder I figured it was someone asking for directions, it turned out I was very much mistaken. After that I did a shoot here and a shoot there but didn’t get too into it simply because I was at school however now that I’ve finished I can take it seriously for a while.”
