JAGERMEISTER INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARD NOMINEES

The nominees of the sixth annual Jagermeister Independent Music Award have been announced, featuring an eclectic lineup of talented independent Aussie artists.

Widely heralded as a barometer for the next big things, the JIMAs were started in 2006 to celebrate the incredible music released by independent Australian artists who deserved more kudos. The JIMAs have previously crowned artists such as the Hilltop Hoods, Gotye, John Butler, and last year, Cloud Control, who then went on to take home the esteemed Australian Music Prize shortly after.

This year, the list of nominees sees electro act Seekae and Magic Dirt frontwoman Adalita leading the pack with four nods each. The full list of nominees can be found at the bottom of this post.

And for the first time ever, Jagermeister fans can now have their say by voting in the ‘Jagermeister Most Hunted’ category this year, from a list of ten nominees. Head to the MOST HUNTED tab on Jagermeister’s Facebook page for all the competition details.

Channel [V] will also filming the entire event for a special televised show to air next month, featuring live performances from Adalita, Calling All Cars, The Holidays, Illy (featuring Owl Eyes) and Emma Louise, plus Artist interviews and exclusive back stage footage of the event.
