Out & About

The Carrington in Surry Hills has become one of our staple favourites when it comes to having a quiet drink and bite to eat. Its location on leafy Bourke St means that things don’t get as cray as at Drink n Dine’s other fine establishments, such as The Abercrombie, The Norfolk and The Forresters. We like to think of The Carrington as the sophisticated older sister. Swiftly after launching the successful breakfast menu at restaurant Beba Y Cene, we now bring you The Apartment.

The Apartment is the old manager’s quarters, replicated in impeccable 1970s style, complete with orange flower tiles, Prince Charles & Di memorabilia (even though they weren’t married yet), and blue and faux wood formica. It really is like stepping back into a Brady Bunch time warp. The kitchen serves as the bar, renovated to a tee so you feel at home as soon as you walk up the stairs.

The Apartment will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, and also available for private group bookings. With an enticing new banquet menu in the Carrington’s signature Spanish-with-a-twist style, there is no doubt you will leave full and happy.

The Apartment, 565 Bourke St, Surry Hills.
