The ethereal sounding Kyu is infact Sydney gals Alyx Dennison & Freya Berkhoul who combine percussion, samples, beats, and synths to create a sound that is akin to a more experiental Bjork mixed with Animal Collective.
‘Pixiphony’ is the first single from the band’s forthcoming debut album due out this month on Popfrenzy Records and is inspired by Geinoh Yamashirogumi’s soundtrack to the legendary 1988 anime film ‘Akira’.
