Some bad news for Ice Cube fans this morning; the Enmore Theatre website has advised that the rapper’s 18 September show has been canned due to “unforseen circumstances.”

What’s even stranger is a message Cube posted on his Facebook page, claiming the entire September tour is in fact, a bunch of baloney:

“Rumors are circulating that Ice Cube is touring Australia in September. IT’S NOT TRUE. The Ice Cube tour is scheduled to hit Australia in APRIL 2012. Please don’t be fooled by the September rumors.”

So, this would suggest that the rest of Cube’s 2011 tour dates (in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Townsville) are not happening either, and that perhaps some overzealous promoters jumped the gun by about six months (Cube’s website suggests the rapper will be here in 2012).

Refunds for the Sydney Enmore Theatre show are available via your ticketing outlet, however, fans can strangely still purchase tickets for the rest of his tour dates… confusing!
