General Pants Co. Announces Artists For Major Label

Whether or not you are a regular patron of General Pants it may interest you to learn that they are branching out into the tumultuous world of indie music and launching their very own record label… of sorts. ‘Major Label’, as it’s been called, is a ground-breaking project that will release three singles by three hip and happening Australian bands (handpicked by General Pants employees) every month. The singles will be available to stream on the General Pants website, and to purchase from iTunes and other such online music retailers.

But enough logistics. It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the first batch of artistes has been revealed. This month on Major Label we’re joined by (drum roll please…) the electronic folkster Guineafowl and his merry band of collaborators; the dulcet, Radiohead-esque tones of High Highs; and Circle Pit, the musical outpourings of wunderkinds Jack Mannix and Angela Bermuda, as chosen to support the one and only Yeah Yeah Yeahs on their recent Australian visit. Check out the tracks on generalpants.com.au/majorlabel and show the local music scene some love.
