Last night saw the launch of The Australian Walk of Style at Sydney’s The Intersection. Property developer of the popular shopping strip, Theo Onisforou, has been planning the walk of style for years with the support of Paddington Chamber of Commerce and the Woollahra Municipal Council. Now his vision has finally been laid in stone, literally. Think Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, but on a local level, and for fashion. The designers awarded here were Collette Dinnigan, Akira Isogawa, sass & bide, the late Mark Keighery and the late R.M. Williams. A further two designers will be immortalised in plaques each year along the Australian Walk of Style in biannual celebrations. ‘It’ girl and model Dree Hemingway was flown over for the event to celebrate the launch, along with a slew of local celebs.
