BUCKLERS CANTEEN LAUNCH

There has been a lot going on in Bondi lately with a whole slew of bars opening up. We will try and profile all our favourites, but for now we are introducing you to Bucklers Canteen. It is the new incarnation of what was previously the Wreck Club. No it didn’t last long under that name, but what we have here is essentially the same thing but a new and improved menu from the dudes that brought you The Duke, Flinders, Rum Diaries, Cream Tangerine, Ravesis and so on. So without further ado, we are just going to list our favourite new menu items.

Egg white omlette, goat cheese, broccoli and chilli tomato chutney.
French breakfast crap, (crepes) egg, bacon, mushroom and cheese.
Veggie burger, sweet potato pattie, shredded lettuce & onion/chilli aoli and truffle fries.
Snapper & prawn cakes with curry coconut sauce & coriander pesto.
Balsamic and soy tofu with coconut & braised chick peas.

There is much more to offer and a lot of it is very veggo friendly. We can sum up the whole menu in two words. Truffle. Fries.
