It clearly was a seventies inflected season, so it’s no doubt that fringing was covering everything, especially in Paris, on dresses, accessories and jewelry.

At Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld hung feathers off hair clips, tassel tufted dresses and showed collarbone skimming fringed earrings which we were mad for. It seems Marc Jacobs was on the same wavelength. The next day at Louis Vuitton, his girls wore shoulder grazing tassels from their ears, and floor sweepers on their shoes. Karl + Marc = It’s tassel time!
