In our vast culinary lives, Lucinda and I certainly manage to try a lot of food. Some establishments excite, others disappoint, and every now and then there are those that elicit a passionate response. The relatively new Four Ate Five in Surry Hills, Sydney, is one of those places. Fresh juices, Single Origin coffee and all manner of hippy teas set the tone of wholesome goodness, while Zucchini chips with a side of fresh aioli are a meal in themselves. They do well at reinventing classics like the Caesar salad and everyone non vegetarians favourite, the beef burger, but it is the American style sandwiches (especially the pulled pork and rare roast beef) that are sating our appetites right now.
