As you may or may not have known, Public Enemy hypeman Flavor Flav opened his own fried chicken establishment in Iowa, USA in January; the restaurant was plagued with problems, with workers complaining of pay cheques bouncing (Flavs responded by saying “maybe these are people that’s just jealous of me”, and other management problems.
Well, after less than three months in the cut-throat and fast-paced world of chicken frying, Flavor Flav has told TMZ that he will be closing down the restaurant after disputes with his business partner.
“I had a licensing agreement with Nick Cimino and that’s all we had,” the rapper told TMZ.
“It was his business to run from there and the business was not run right.”
According to Flav, the final straw was an out-of-date salad…
“Let me be straight up with you… I went up inside there on April 2nd and I found potato salad that expired on February 28th. And it’s then when I realized I can’t do business with this man and I really hope no one ate those potatoes.”
Far from being deterred from the dining business, Flav is getting right back on the horse; opening in Las Vegas next month will be – wait for it – “Flavor Flav’s House of Flavor.”
To be fair, if you have a name like ‘Flavor Flav,’ it’d be a crime NOT to open a restaurant, just to name it “Flavor Flav’s House of Flavor.”
We wish good luck to you, sir… sounds like you’re gonna need it.
