Forgetting the imminent onslaught of winter, Max Factors’ Liz Kelsh and Robert Ham from Moroccanoil created one of the most wearable beauty looks at the MBFWA presentation of Suboo’s ‘A Place in the Sun’ collection, sure to liven up frosty faces this cold season.

You may have thought a pony was just about giving your hair a quick brush and whacking in a hair elastic. But US based spokesperson for Moroccanoil Robert Ham gives us the lowdown on the prettiest of ponies.

“On damp hair I apply Moroccanoil Treatment or Moroccanoil Treatment Light, as it is instantly absorbed to treat the hair. Then Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream is added, to smooth and give a soft natural hold, while hydrating and reducing frizz. Hair is then dried away from the face. A centre-part is created at the back of the crown and hair divided into two side sections and a back section. The back section is secured with a hair-tie into a tight, sleek, low ponytail and smoothed with Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and a light spray of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to accentuate the smooth look and control fly- always. The side sections are divided into two horizontal slices. The top section of the left is taken and wrapped around the ponytail and the top section of the right side is wrapped across the previous section and bound around the ponytail. The same steps are repeated with the bottom section of the side segments.

The result is a look that has been woven together around the ponytail and secured with a hair tie. Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream and Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray are smoothed over the look to help create a very sleek and clean finish.”

Suboo’s makeup, headed by Max Factor’s Liz Kelsh, starts with a flawless base of Max Factor’s Second Skin Foundation, applied only where necessary giving a natural yet perfected finish. A pop of Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow in a champagne colour is applied in the inner corner of the eyes to open and create an enlightened flare. A small amount of False Lash Effect Mascara is applied to the roots of the lashes to give subtle definition on air-haired girls.

The magic moment in the makeup is a hit of fluoro green on the eyelid— a perfect way to set off the nearly nude makeup. Lips are left conditioned and bare. Clear lip-gloss is applied to the cheekbones and eyelids for a reflective, summer heat effect.

Take note all you beauties from Bondi, Bali and Byron— Suboo’s look is definitely for you!
