In news that is likely to overjoy all of us who have long wished the chromatic tones of our Facebook display picture were more in harmony with the site itself, YSL have released an eyeshadow palette inspired by the social networking behemoth. Yes, the powder room becomes yet another aspect of our life subsumed by Mark Zuckerberg.
The palette, known rather unpoetically as Pure Chromatics Devoted to Fans, has been described to the Kiss and Makeup website as a “declaration of love” to YSL’s Facebook fans. While Jennifer Lopez once claimed that “love don’t cost a thing”, YSL’s affection does come at a price— £39, to be exact. Available exclusively from the label’s Facebook page from July 19, there are only 1,650 available, so you better be quick if you want to smear your lids in the blue, black, white and grey of everyone’s favourite method of digital stalking!
So, what do we think? Is this a ‘like’ or an immediate ‘unfriend’ for YSL?
