David Guetta ‘Takes Over’ The Grammys

As you probably know, The Grammy Awards – that hugely extravagant feature of the music industry’s annual calendar – happened yesterday. Sure, you could support the sexy young ‘single ladies’ Beyonce (who won six out of her ten nominations…), Lady GaGa and Taylor Swift, who all took a prize or two home… But why not spare a thought for the 42-year-old French man nominated for five Grammys, who also has a wife and two children to provide for?

Yes, house DJ David Guetta has received three nominations for his work on the Black Eyed Peas’ smash-hit album ‘I Gotta Feeling’, as well as two for his own release ‘One Love’. You may recall that Guetta’s album spawned the single ‘When Love Takes Over’, featuring former Child of Destiny Kelly Rowland, which subsequently picked up a Grammy, and not to mention a certain controversial collaboration with Akon. If you need a hint, it rhymes with ‘Flexy Mitch’.

Unfortunately Guetta didn’t pick up any individual awards off the back of the Peas glory (although the Peas won three), but you can check him out at the epic Future Music Festival which lands somewhere near you this March.
