Every now and then comes a time in a person’s life when they need to dig deep, put the wellbeing of the world ahead of themselves and sign an incredibly important internet petition.
This is one of those times: we all need to band together to make a Daft Punk Lego set happen.
The concept is currently in the purgatory known as ‘Lego Ideas’ – essentially, a website on which Lego allows users to pitch and vote for upcoming play sets. Before a set can be manufactured and hit store shelves, it needs to amass 10,000 votes, and currently, the Daft Punk range is sitting at 4,306.
Just imagine the smile on a child’s face as they relive amazing live performances like Alive 2007 in miniature form or play the role of conductor while Daft Punk scores Tron: Legacy in real time. The possibilities are several.
Even Lego itself seems to be fond of the idea. After the pitch gained over 1,000 votes, the company responded by saying, “This project didn’t just get lucky, the detail and thought behind the project speaks for itself. Just make sure you celebrate 1,000+ supporters by losing yourself to the dance!”
Nice one, Lego. That was one daft pun.
Someone please think of the children. Support the project (and your fellow man) here.
