CHLOË SEVIGNY’S HIP DIGS

If you’ve got a cool $US1.7 mill to splash around (and, let’s face it, in this world of Facebook shares and trust funds, who doesn’t?) you could be the proud owner of Chloë Sevigny’s hip New York digs.  The East 10th Street pad features a lot of rustic accoutrements and nary a humorously named Ikea item in sight. You gotta give it to her of questionable Brown Bunny fame— the girl’s got some schmick taste.

At just one bedroom strong, what La Sev’s apartment lacks in sleeping space it makes up for in “Oh, that Persian carpet? I picked it up whilst I was finding myself in Istanbul” cred. Despite being located in the pulsing inner-city hub that is Manhattan, it’s got a distinctly pastoral vibe with its open fireplace, exposed floorboards and lush overgrown garden.

While the photos supplied by the real estate agent (have a flip through in the carousel at the top of the page) are all well and good, we personally prefer the 2007 shots that appeared in House & Garden magazine that showcase the most valuable commodity in the gorgeous residence: Miss Sevigny’s wardrobe.

No news on where Sevigny plans to relocate, but as I’m in the market for a new abode, I’m just going to put it out there. Wanna be housemates, Chloë?
