NAKED ART STUNT BACKFIRES

Another pesky contemporary artist, another arrest.

After six months surveying workers, Alaskan-born Zefrey Throwell, conducted a five minute performance piece outside The New York Stock Exchange, which he claims was a social critique of Wall Street.

The performance entitled Ocularpation, involved a horde of 50 volunteers, most disguised as well-dressed day-trippers, acting out the motions of people on the daily grind.

LE CERCLE

In 2009, Mark Gonzales revisited his project the ‘Circle Board’ – a sequence of nine skateboards joined end to end to form a complete loop. Benjamin Deberdt photographed Mark riding his creation before dawn in front of the Eiffel Tower producing enigmatic black and white prints. These photographs were then shipped to New York City and drawn directly upon by Mark in his idiosyncratic style. GRAPHIC FESTIVAL PROGRAM UNVEILED

Fresh off hosting the eclectic Vivid Festival last month, the Sydney Opera House will soon host another creative festival; the Graphic festival, to be held in August.

NUDES IN BLOOM

Nudes in artwork are nothing new, but Cecelia Webber‘s approach is certainly imaginative.
