CARINE + KARL!

CARINE + KARL!

Karl Lagerfeld has hired Carine Roitfeld to style his new Chanel campaign. Fashion’s ultimate pairing? It seems Madame Roitfed is enjoying her new freedom post Vogue Paris, as we recently reported her new partnership with American store Barneys.

Carine worked her magic on Chanel’s Autumn/Winter 11/12 campaign, starring Freja Beha Erichsen, a Chanel mainstay adding her thoroughly Parisian touch to the brand’s advertising.

“The mix with Freja was genius,” Lagerfeld commented. “I like to work with the same girls and boys all the time.” To validate this point, he has confirmed Anja Rubik again as the face of Fendi, where is is also creative director.

Up next for Karl, who shows no sign of slowing down at 77, is a short film in the South of France. Featuring Freja again, alongside his other leading ladies; Lady Amanda Harlech, Anna Mougalis and Kristen McMenamy, the movie will be shown alongside his Chanel Cruise collection in Antibes in May.
