As most of us were sleeping (some adventurous people/soccer fans get up 3.15 am in morning. *Ominously frowns as the Eurocup final and “boyfriend” spring to mind*) across in the Mother Country Brit-pop band Blur was premiering two brand spanking new tracks.
If there was a means of high fiving the universe (which didn’t involve running full pelt at giant crashing waves) we already would have, because, having woken up this morning and listened to the two new tracks, it feels as though all the pain of Monday has melted away!
‘Under The Westway’ and ‘The Puritan’, were unveiled during a live performance at 6.15 pm and 7.15 pm London time on Monday the 2nd of July on an undisclosed rooftop in London (so Beatles!). The performance was then livestreamed through a link on Blur’s Twitter account (the interwebz roolz), and both tracks were then made available for download through digital retailers.
LISTEN. I command you to do yourself this small favour.
