We are long term fans of Sydney knitwear label Banjo & Matilda, especially their delectable cashmere scarves, which are the only things getting us through this weather! Designer Belynda Macpherson has just launched an incredible initiative, encouraging the community to donate pre-loved sweaters for those less fortunate. However ‘The Sweater Exchange’ has an interesting twist. Sure, you will be doing good donating your pre-loved garments to charity, but you will also be rewarded for your kindness. All you have to do is log onto the Banjo & Matilda website, register your details and a complimentary post satchel will be sent to you. Then all you have to do is deposit the satchel at any post office and the sweater will be delivered to the Salvation Army.

The good news is, each donation will be exchanged for a $50 gift voucher for the Banjo & Matilda knitwear range. So it’s the best of both worlds really – get rid of an old sweater, help someone needy, and receive a brand new sweater made out of luxurious wool or cashmere! International celebs Elle Macpherson, Richard Branson and Natalie Imbruglia will also donate their sweaters to the cause, as well as local Australian celebs Wes Carr & Charlotte, Pia Miranda, Alyssa McClelland and Sarah Snook who along with donating their sweaters, have had candid shots taken in Banjo & Matilda sweaters by their friends.

Get donating now at the Banjo & Matilda website.
