Our fav Brooklyn chick rapper, Azealia Banks, has once again thrown her release schedule into chaos, announcing that her new EP and album will be delayed once again but she will soon drop a mixtape and new single instead.
After exploding onto the scene with hit single ’212,’ Banks has continually promised (and rescheduled) the release of an EP titled ’1991′ and a full-length called ‘Broke With Expensive Taste.’ After being announced on the Splendour In The Grass lineup, she announced she would be dropping out of a bunch of scheduled dates (but not Splendour, thankfully!) to concentrate on the two releases.
’1991′ was originally set for release in March, then rescheduled to April, then rescheduled again after Azzy Twittered “I just switched management.. Literally like three days ago, and have a whole new set of resources to take advantage of.”
Now, posting on Twitter overnight, Banks has announced that she has added a new mixtape – titled ‘Fantastic’ – to the pile, with a new track from it to be released this Friday.
“”JUMANJI” is dropping this Friday and it’s from the mixtape! I’m excited yay!”
She also stated that the album will be released “in the fall” (Australian spring) while ’1991′ will be released this month.
“So y’all will be getting, 1991 EP this month, the “FANTASTIC” mixtape for the summer, and “Broke With Expensive Taste,” in the Fall!” she wrote.
