Matt Huynh is a Sydney based comic creator and illustrator. He began self-publishing because there just wasn’t the right kind of comics available on the shelves. His work diversifies from surrealist fantasy to polemical essays, community collaborations and biography. The 2009 Creative Sydney Festival named him one of the most innovative contributors to Sydney’s culture. No mean feat for anyone! Aspertus is an exhibition of a new and never seen before illustration series. It will be shown for one night only in the incredible Skeleton Gallery at the Australian Museum, and will mark Huynh’s first solo exhibition in three years.
